CHARLEY IS A Creative Director & DESIGNER who has Worked collaboratively with clients IN education, Business, arts and culture Since 2002. HE haS built a reputation for delivering clear, thoughtful And Engaging design solutions across multiple platforms.
Charley has been a Creative Director and Designer in Richmond for over 20 years, initially as co-founder of the graphic design firm Scout Design. His work has focused on identities, publications, marketing collateral, digital and the overall visual expression of a brand.
Past clients include VCUarts, the Medical College of Virginia, the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, Collegiate School, Saint Gertrude High School, PlanG and the University of Texas at Austin. He also finds joy in working with several nonprofits including AIGA Richmond and the Virginia League of Planned Parenthood. His work has been selected for exhibition by the AIGA, Print Magazine, Virginia Commonwealth University, the Richmond Ad Club and included in the permanent AIGA Design Archives at the Denver Museum.
Prior to Scout Design, Charley graduated from Virginia Commonwealth University with a MFA in Graphic Design and from University of Richmond with a BA in Studio Art. In his spare time, Charley loves restoring furniture, sound-checking karaoke mics and paddling a 100 year old canoe.
